Today we were delighted to celebrate Saint David and mark St David’s Day together as a school community.
Children and staff added a splash of yellow to their outfits, and we spent time learning about why St David is such an important figure in Wales. St David is the patron saint of Wales. He was a Christian monk and teacher who lived over 1,400 years ago. He shared God’s message of love, kindness and simplicity, encouraging people to “do the little things well.”
This simple but powerful message reminds us that small acts of goodness, care and faithfulness matter greatly in our daily lives. Through prayer, reflection and learning, the children explored how they too can follow St David’s example by showing kindness, working hard and serving others in the small moments of each day.
