The Feast of Corpus Christi

The gathering in this Sunday’s Gospel is a sign of the Eucharist which Jesus would establish with his disciples at the Last Supper.
He makes the same offer to nourish us today, especially when we receive Holy Communion – a sacred moment, when we receive a gift from heaven. This helps us become closer to Jesus and closer to each other – to keep growing in goodness and love.
The Feast of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is a liturgical solemnity celebrating the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
