As we come to the end of this half term, I would like to reflect on what has been a short but extremely busy Spring 2 term.
We have continued with a range of enriching trips this week. Children from St Andrew class enjoyed a visit to the Tate Modern, engaging with a variety of inspiring artworks. Meanwhile, St Therese class attended St George’s Cathedral, where they performed The Last Supper as part of the St Oscar Romero Catholic Academy Trust’s “Walking the Way of the Cross.” This was an incredibly moving and reflective performance for all the children and staff present. The children of St Therese class were an absolute credit to the school in the way they spoke, presented themselves, and demonstrated such reverence in their acting.
Our Prayer Heroes also represented the school at the Easter Mass at St George’s Cathedral on Thursday. Once again, they shone alongside other Catholic schools from across the diocese, making us all very proud. We have continued right up until the end of term, with St Therese class visiting the farm today to make their very own butter—an experience I am sure they will remember for a long time!
It has been wonderful to see the effort and creativity shown in the Easter Bonnet Challenge. I am very much looking forward to the parade this afternoon and to welcoming so many of you to this special event.
Additionally, the children from St Patrick class, St Bernadette class, and St Rose class sang beautifully and read with great confidence in their Easter production today. It was fantastic to see so many parents in attendance to support the children—thank you for your continued encouragement.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and holy Easter break. Please remember that we have an INSET day on Monday 13th April. I look forward to welcoming you all back, bright and early, on Tuesday 14th April for the start of our Summer Term.
Best wishes Mrs Nicolaou
